PSD at the First Regional Cooperation Conference for the Sustainable Tourism Development

On “Regional Cooperation Conference for Sustainable Tourism Development” held on 20 and 21st September 2011. in Sarajevo, PSD team had a chance to present the first integrated rural tourism product in accordance with potentials of tourism based on activities, rural mini camps. The presentation sparked a great interest, which confirm the good choice of interventions in tourism sector.

The "Regional Cooperation Conference for Sustainable Tourism Development" would, for the first time, bring together tourism leaders and stakeholders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia to discuss collaboration in product development, tourism standards and cross-border cooperation.

The conference would provide a much-needed platform for Balkan countries to identify a more systematic approach for developing a regional tourism product, and to share best practices, lessons learned and new developments in tourism products and policies.

The conference was organized by the USAID-Sida FIRMA Project and the USAID Regional Competitiveness Initiative (RCI), in cooperation with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
